Neutral Lye is used for lye priming of unfinished or newly sanded interior woodwork i.e. floor, stairs, furniture and panels. The priming prevents the wood from yellowing and enhances the wood grain creating a coloured wash effect, depending on the chosen colour. Neutral Lye may be used on all types of wood.

Instructions
Products in use
The untreated wood must be sanded with fine sandpaper and be clean and dry before applying lye.

  1. Apply an even coat of the lye with the WOCA Applicator, a nylon brush or roller lengthwise along the grain. Apply at least 1 L of lye per 8-10 m²/L of wood. Leave wood to dry for approx. 8-10 hours at 20°C.
  2. On vertically mounted woodwork, apply from top to bottom.
  3. Clean tools with water and soap.
  4. When woodwork is dry, remove any visible lime pigments from the surface. Possibly clean with or loosen with green or yellow pad under polishing machine and subsequently vacuum clean the floor.
  5. Finish the wood surface with a WOCA oil, lacquer or soap.
Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye/face protection. Stir thoroughly before use
