Recommendation:

Wait 24 hours before putting furniture on the floor. Wait 5-7 days before covering with carpets and washing. If drying times are not followed, this can result in poor adhesion and reduced resistance. For each coat of lacquer, drying times will be increased. High temperature and low air humidity will reduce drying times. Low temperature and high air humidity will extend drying times.

Master EP Lacquer is a water-based, low-odor floor lacquer that provides wood with a durable and resistant surface, ideal for medium traffic. It is important that both the wood and the lacquer have a temperature of at least 15°C, preferably around 20°C, and a humidity level of approximately 50%. Ensure good ventilation in the room to aid drying time and evaporation. The final sanding to bare wood should be done with sandpaper or sanding mesh grit 100-120. Vacuum thoroughly and, if necessary, wipe the floor with a cloth or mop wrung out in clean water. WOCA Intensive Wood Cleaner can help remove dirt from sanded wooden floors before lacquering.

  1. Primer and a coat of Master EP Lacquer should be applied undiluted, using a brush or roller. Alternatively, two coats of lacquer can be applied. Leave the surface to dry until next day.
  2. Sand the surface with 100-120 and vacuum clean the surface thoroughly.
  3. Apply the final coat of undiluted Master EP Lacquer.
Water and coloured fluids, such as red wine and coffee, must be wiped off immediately to prevent staining.
