Products in use
It is important that the product, the room and the floor are at a temperature between 15 °C and 30 °C and that air humidity is approx. 50 %. Wood humidity must not exceed 12%. Make sure that the room is well-ventilated for optimal evaporation and drying time. The wood must be newly-sanded, with grit 100-150 for the final sanding. Vacuum thoroughly. Wash the floor with WOCA Intensive Wood Cleaner and leave the floor to dry for at least 8 hours before application of the primer.

Always remember to test on a less visible spot to check the compatibility of the surface with the product.

  1. Thoroughly shake the container of Invisible Oil Primer, both before and during use. Containers with different batch numbers should be mixed to avoid colour mismatch.
  2. Apply the primer using a short-bristled paint roller in an even coat. Work in small areas of no more than 20 m² at a time.
  3. Leave the primer to soak in for up to 5 minutes.
  4. Rub the primer into the wood until the floor appears saturated. Use a buffing machine with a beige or Bordeaux pad. Regularly change the buffing pad to prevent the primer from lumping.
  5. Remove excess oil with dry, lint-free cotton cloths or pads until the surface no longer appears wet.
  6. Leave the floor to dry for 3-4 hours at 20°C. Drying time will vary by temperature, humidity and application quantity. Lower temperatures and/or higher humidity can extend drying time.
  7. Between layers, sand the dry surface using a bordeaux pad or a lacquer sanding pad and vacuum thoroughly.
  8. Apply Invisible Oil. Carefully follow the product instructions.
Invisible Oil must be applied when using Invisible Primer. After 24 hours, we recommend that the primed and oiled surface is treated with Invisible Oil Care to improve the floor’s resistance to stains and wear.
