Anti Slip - R9

DIN 51130 is a standardised anti-slip test for flooring. It is typically used for work places and official buildings where there is a requirement that products have the anti-slip test DIN 51130 with a classification from R9 to R13.

Sports test

European standard which specifies the requirements for sports floors and surfaces for indoor facilities, such as gloss, friction and reflectance.

Fire test

The European Standard EN 13501-1, which measures the reactions of building materials to fire. The reaction is determined by how much a product contributes to a fire and is classified from A to F.

A European standard test for contamination of harmful substances. This test is especially relevant for worktops, toys and kitchen utensils.

Food contactable

If you wish to avoid a spillover of harmful substances from worksurfaces to food then look for the Glass and fork symbol. The manufacturer has to document that the surface treatment of the product does not release release harmful substances into food products. This is tested by an independent third party who assesses the composition of the product. Look for the symbol!

IBR

Voluntary labelling that ensures the best possible indoor climate as well as minimum of bad odours and other forms of contamination. The product is tested by a third party independent examiner.

Recommendation:

Wait 24 hours before putting furniture on the floor. Wait 5-7 days before covering with carpets and washing. If drying times are not followed, this can result in poor adhesion and reduced resistance. For each coat of lacquer, drying times will be increased. High temperature and low air humidity will reduce drying times. Low temperature and high air humidity will extend drying times.

Basic Pro 1K Lacquer is a water-based floor lacquer with low odour, that leaves the wood with a resistant and durable surface ideal for normal wear. The lacquer has a good performance and is suitable for domestic projects due to its remarkable flow and fast drying time.

It is important that both wood and lacquer have a temperature of min. 15°C (preferably around 20°C) and air humidity of approx. 50%. Make sure that the room is well-ventilated for optimal evaporation and drying time. For the final sanding to bare wood, use grit 100-120 sandpaper or sanding pad. Vacuum thoroughly and wipe the floor down afterwards, using a tightly-wrung water-soaked mop/cloth. Please note: WOCA Intensive Wood Cleaner can help to remove contaminates from fully sanded wooden floors before lacquering. Please allow the floor to fully dry overnight. The floor must be completely dry before lacquering.

Always remember to test on a less visible spot to check the compatibility of the surface with the product.

  1. A coat of Basic Pro 1K Lacquer Lacquer should be applied undiluted, using a brush or roller. Leave the surface to dry until next day.
  2. Sand the surface with 120-200 and vacuum clean the surface thoroughly.
  3. Apply the final coat of undiluted Basic Pro 1K Lacquer.
Water and coloured fluids, such as red wine and coffee, must be wiped off immediately to prevent staining.
