Maintenance depends on many factors including amount of direct sunlight, shade, precipitation, 1-2 coats applied, and which Exterior Oil color was applied. Oil colors with more pigment have greater UV protection. We recommend assessing your outdoor wood yearly.

When it is time for a maintenance coat of oil, there is no need to sand. 

1, Clean the wood surface with Exterior Wood Cleaner or Exterior Deep Cleaner Spray. 

2. Let the surface dry for a few hours.  

3.  Apply 1 coat of the Exterior Oil.  If the wood surface still looks dry and thirsty after the maintenance coat was applied and dry, a 2nd maintenance coat can be applied.
