FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions
Type
This is often because the worktop has not been cleaned with Wood Cleaner before it was oiled. Wood Cleaner is deep cleaning, which allows the oil to soak better into the wood.
It may also be because it has not been polished after it was oiled and any excess oil wiped off. To achieve optimal results, please follow our job instructions for oiling.
How can I fix it?
Apply a thin layer of Worktop Oil to the sticky surface and leave to stand for no more than 5-10 minutes.
Next, polish thoroughly (ideally with a hand-held buffing machine) and wipe any excess oil off with a soft, clean cotton cloth.
We recommend that you use our specially-developed soaps when cleaning surfaces as they clean effectively, while also protecting and caring for them.
Regular cleaning products are not designed to work with the soap or oil treatment on your wooden surface.
Thorough preparation is worth the effort. But we all know the feeling that time sometimes seems short, and we therefore use shorter processes every now and then to get a fast result. Your choice of regular floor care products is rather important. The individual floors and their surface treatments are important factors when choosing the right care products. WOCA care products and soaps are specially developed for cleaning and care of vinyl floors, laminate floors and wooden floors treated with soap, oil or lacquer; all to ensure optimal protection, a beautiful appearance and long durability.
Tannin Spot Remover is used to remove dark rings/stains caused by water etc. These black rings/stains most often occur on oak because oak contains large amounts of tannic acid, which can be drawn up from the wood. The product can also be used for other types of wood, however.
The Wood Stain Remover is intended for stains like red wine, coffee and grease stains. Common to both products is that the wood should be retreated with the original oil or soap after use.
