WOCA switches to PCR plastic

At WOCA Denmark, we work purposefully to create wood care products that combine high quality and user-friendliness with care for people and the environment. Circular thinking and sustainable initiatives are an integral part of our identity. WOCA Denmark strives for more responsible production throughout the entire value chain: From the selection of raw materials and the use of packaging made from recycled materials to the development of environmentally certified products.

We are taking an important step towards more eco-friendly packaging by gradually switching our WOCA plastic containers to PCR plastic (Post-Consumer Recycled plastic).

This means that the containers will consist of recycled plastic, which has already been used by consumers once – and now gets a new life instead of ending up as waste.

Why PCR plastic?

PCR plastic is one of the most effective ways to reduce the environmental impact of plastic packaging. When plastic is recycled, we avoid both the extraction of new resources and the CO₂-intensive production processes associated with virgin plastic. At the same time, we reduce the amount of plastic waste in nature, and at incineration plants.
