Why is sustainable building important? The decision for a sustainable building is based on various motivational reasons. In addition to legal requirements and the criteria for construction grants or loans, economic and ecological aspects also play a role.

SHI Database – QNG

QNG stands for “Quality Seal for Sustainable Buildings” and is a government sustainability seal for buildings in Germany. It evaluates ecological, economic, and health-related criteria throughout the entire life cycle of a building and is an important prerequisite for access to certain public funding programs.

The Sentinel Holding Institute (SHI) operates an independent database with verified and certified product information. The focus is on health, environmental compatibility, and sustainability in construction. The SHI data supports a transparent material selection for sustainable building and certification systems.
