ISO 9001 * ISO 14001 

WOCA Denmark is certified according to ISO 9001:2015 the international standard for quality control; and ISO 14001:2015 the international standard for environmental management.
The quality and environmental management systems ensure, that sales, supply, product development and production are conducted according to defined procedures and instructions known by all members of staff.

ISO 9001 ensures that the defined quality of procedures and products is guaranteed – and therefore the products feature uniform quality.
ISO 14001 takes into account all aspects concerning the environment. This applies to chosing raw materials, the internal environement, but also the handling of waste. Furthermore, new targets for the improvement of quality and environment are set permanently.

WOCA Denmark has been caring for floors, furniture and outdoor wood surfaces since 1969. We believe that all materials deserve to be cared for with quality products that keep them looking clean, healthy and beautiful for as long as possible. Today, we are an international company – but our Danish roots can still be clearly seen in our high quality standards and our outlook.
We take great care to limit our environmental impact and to live up to our customers expectations when they use WOCA products to prepare, treat or maintain their materials.

Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) supports greater transparency and documented sustainability. EPDs present verified data on a product’s environmental impact throughout its entire life cycle, based on recognized standards and third-party verification.

Nordic Swan Ecolabel

The Nordic Swan Ecolabel is the official Nordic ecolabel. The environmental certification sets strict requirements for the entire product life cycle – from raw materials and production to use and recycling – to minimize environmental impact as much as possible. The label makes it easy for consumers, businesses, and public purchasers to choose among the least environmentally harmful products and contribute to the green transition.

DIBt is a German institute that tests and issues technical approvals for building materials.The aim is to improve the working climate for floor installers whilst ensuring a safe indoor air quality for the final consumer.

Danish Indoor Climate Labelling

Danish Interior Climate Labelling is a voluntary labelling system for products and materials which can document the effect of degassing. Indoor climate labelled materials are a natural component in sustainable construction, where a good indoor air quality contributes to social sustainability.

Emission Class A+

The French labeling system is a mandatory classification of materials, such as floor treatment products, based on their VOC emissions to indoor air. A+ is the highest rating, indicating improved indoor air quality with very low emissions.

DIN EN 14904

European standard which specifies the requirements for sports floors and surfaces for indoor facilities, such as gloss, friction and reflectance.

Bio-Based ASTM 6866

Biobased Carbon Content ASTM D6866-22 is an international standard method utilized for product testing. The result is reported as % Biobased Carbon. This indicates the percentage carbon from ‘natural’ (plant or animal by-product) sources.

DIN EN 16165 – Anti Slip R10

DIN EN 16165 is the European standard for determining slip resistance on floor surfaces with a classification from R9 to R13. The Anti Slip test is used to ensure safe traffic for all types of floors in public areas and workplaces etc.

Food Contact Material (FCM)

The glass and fork symbol indicates that the product complies with the requirements for Food Contact Materials (FCM) according to Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004, confirming it is safe to come into direct or indirect contact with food.

The manufacturer must document that the surface treatment does not release harmful substances when in contact with food. To ensure this high level of food safety laboratory tests are carried out by an independent third party.

So, look for the FCM label when treating wooden surfaces such as kitchen and dining tables.

European standard ensuring that materials do not release toxic substances in amounts harmful to children. Particularly relevant for materials such as toys, kitchen utensils, worktops and furniture.
